Hola chicas,
On today’s post I will talk about MOTIVATION. The reason motivation is the topic for this post is because as I was deciding what to write about, I remembered my futbol game from last night. As I was replaying last night event I realized that we all need motivation of some sort. We need motivation to keep working hard, to reach or dreams, to wake up every morning and go to work, to even hit the gym and not give up on the last set of repetitions.
For me, last night’s game was muy importante. We were the underdogs the whole season. No one expected the team to make it to play off. But there we were, last night, playing the semi-final against the team that had been in the top three spots the whole season. As the captain of the team it was up to me to motivate the team to try their best, to not give up, to enjoy the moment, and overall to be proud of each other hard work. But in order to motivate my team, I had to motivate myself. Or like my team says, get in the game
On the hours leading to the game I was searching for motivational quotes that will that will help me motivate the rest of the team. I searched and searched and nothing. Everything I found, I felt was not good enough to motivate my teammates. It wasn’t until I heard one of the songs from on my “Gym Playlist” that I realized my search for motivation was over. Since everyone on my teams loves, I mean really they LOVE (we practice, we warm up with music) music I decided to make a playlist with songs from everyone’s favorite genre. And it worked, my motivation playlist got them all pumped up.
Mi equipo had an amazing game and tat the end of the night we had a Cinderella story. We had won and made it to the finals. As you can see from my experience from last night, it seems I have found the right way to motivate my teammates…
As the amazing and fabulous multi-tasker chicas que somos, always seem to find the right thing that motivates in other aspect of our lives. But how do you keep our selves motivated when it comes to fitness?
Like many of you chicas, I also look at magazines or pictures for motivation. Finding the right motivation we need to look at more than just the physical and material parts of life. We need to find motivation within ourselves. It can be that quote that gets you thinking, those lyrics that get to your heart, or that beat de la musica.
As a mujer latina I find motivation in music. Music has been a big part of my life, has been there with me on the good and the bad times. For that, when it comes to keeping myself motivated in the gym, I crank up the volume of my iPod and I get the party started (at least in my mind).
And for you chica what is your motivation? Cuentame what do you do when you need to pumped out to finish that workout? Or that project you have from school or work?

Music all the way! It’s always been a great motivator for me, in the gym, in the mornings, on long walks. There’s nothing that compares to a great beat
Agree with you Lin
